Students have been preparing for Veteran's Day and have chosen to express their gratitude by writing from their heart. Some tinkered with Ode poems and others let their pencil create their thoughtful wish!
Allison decided to communicate with the custodian (Sherri) that cleans our classroom each and every day. Isn't it wonderful that she decided to reach out and take time to appreciate the efforts of the individual that keeps our room clean and tidy on a daily basis? The approach of writing practice looks different every day in Room 264. Allison's purpose for writing is extremely meaningful and appreciative. Communication at its best!
Costumes, makeup, smiling faces and fun stations is exactly what was observable on Halloween Day in Room 264! Despite the inclement weather and an indoor parade- our room was buzzing with some terrific games (Mummy Wrap, Face the Cookie Witches Hat Ring Toss and MONSTER CUP EYEBALL TOSS . A party isn't complete without delicious food. Students were able to dine and play some HALLOWEEN BINGO! To top it off, the children enjoyed making Q tip skeletons at the craft station! Special thanks to Tanya Gallagher our room parent and the others that helped make this day a special memory for our children: (Elsa's mom Ann, Sam's mom Christina, Kalans' mom Kathleen, Aria's mom Autumn, Marleigh's mom Lou Ann, Grace's mom Marlena, Meredith's mom Kate, Jonas' grandmother Lorraine !) |
